Sacramento, CA (June 17, 2025) – One person was injured when two vehicles collided at 23rd Street and Q Street, Sacramento Police Department reports.

At about 12:07 p.m. Tuesday, officers and Sacramento Fire Department crews responded to the signalized intersection in downtown Sacramento. Emergency medical services treated the injured individual on scene before transporting the patient to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Sacramento PD investigators are examining whether a failure to yield or an improper turn led to the side-impact collision. Witnesses assisted officers in reconstructing the crash, and the intersection was closed for over an hour while crews cleared debris and towed the damaged vehicles.

We send our best wishes for a full and speedy recovery to the injured individual.
