Sacramento, CA - Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on 65th Street Expressway

Sacramento, CA (April 26, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed Saturday evening following a hit-and-run crash on the 65th Street Expressway near Lemon Hill Avenue, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. and located the pedestrian, who had succumbed to injuries at the scene. Authorities said the driver fled before law enforcement arrived.

Northbound lanes of the 65th Street Expressway were temporarily closed between Lemon Hill Avenue and Elder Creek Road as police investigated the incident.

Officials are actively searching for the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sacramento Police Department.
