Sacramento, CA (May 29, 2025) – One person was seriously injured Thursday morning when two vehicles collided on southbound Interstate 5 just south of the 80 Freeway interchange, the California Highway Patrol reports.
The crash occurred around 8:41 a.m. Emergency responders arrived quickly, treating the injured party on scene before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital, where the individual remain in serious but stable condition.
CHP investigators continue probing what caused the collision. The crash prompted major traffic delays as crews cleared wreckage and reopened lanes.
