Sacramento, CA - Three-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries on I-5 Near Seamas Ave

Sacramento, CA (April 16, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday morning on northbound Interstate 5 near Seamas Avenue in South Sacramento, leaving several people with minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash took place around 8:04 a.m. and involved at least three vehicles: a white car, a gray Chevrolet Silverado, and a gray Honda Accord. Reports indicate that a vehicle had stalled in the #3 lane, leading to the chain-reaction crash. One of the vehicles, a truck, was left immobile, extending the cleanup efforts.

Emergency personnel, including fire crews, responded quickly to the scene. The injured individuals received treatment on-site, and no hospitalizations were reported. Debris was scattered across multiple lanes, prompting officials to divert traffic to the right side of the freeway during the response.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.

We extend our thoughts to those who were injured and wish them a speedy recovery.
