The crash was first reported at approximately 7:28 a.m. and involved three vehicles. Though the exact circumstances surrounding the sequence of impact remain under investigation, the incident caused significant delays for morning commuters traveling through the Natomas area.

Paramedics from the Sacramento Fire Department quickly arrived on scene and provided medical assistance to those involved. Two people sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. As of this report, the extent of their injuries has not been made public.

CHP officers remained at the scene to manage traffic, clear the wreckage, and launch an investigation into the cause of the crash. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether factors such as driver error, roadway conditions, or speed contributed to the collision.
