San Bernardino, CA (May 6, 2025) – A female pedestrian was injured Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on the eastbound side of Interstate 10 just west of Waterman Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:09 p.m. when a red Honda SUV collided with the pedestrian in the freewayโs slow lane. The woman was found face down in the roadway and was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. Her current condition has not been publicly disclosed, though she was reportedly conscious during transport.
The red Honda sustained front-end damage and was found on the right shoulder. Witnesses reported that the woman may have been connected to a nearby homeless encampment along the freeway shoulder. A driver in a black Chevrolet Impala stopped to protect the downed pedestrian and alert oncoming vehicles.
