San Francisco, CA (May 1, 2025) – A major traffic collision involving three vehicles shut down lanes 1 through 4 on Interstate 80 West near the San Francisco toll plaza Thursday afternoon. The crash involved two Toyotas – one marked “COA” and the other “PRI” – and a Genesis.
Emergency crews responded swiftly, securing the scene and requesting a tow truck to remove the vehicles, which are now being held for evidence. A SigAlert was issued due to the extensive lane closures.
Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes as cleanup and investigation efforts continue. Updates will follow as the scene is cleared and lanes are reopened.
