San Jose, CA (April 25, 2025) – A major traffic collision involving a red Toyota pickup and an Acura SUV occurred late Friday night on State Route 87 North at the West Capitol Expressway on-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash, reported around 9:43 p.m., resulted in one of the vehicles overturning and significant lane closures in the area.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, closing lanes 2 and 3 to manage the situation. A tow truck was requested to assist with clearing the overturned pickup.
At this time, it remains unclear if any injuries were reported in the collision. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and working to fully reopen the roadway. Drivers were advised to exercise caution and expect residual delays.
