Santa Ana, CA – Four Local Teens Killed in Segerstrom Avenue Crash

Santa Ana, CA (April 5, 2025) – Authorities have identified four teenagers who were killed in a devastating crash late Saturday night in Santa Ana. The crash occurred around 11:25 p.m. on Segerstrom Avenue, between Raitt and Greenville streets, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

Police say the driver of a Lexus sedan, Emanuel Gonzalez Martinez, 18, was speeding when he lost control and slammed into a tree. He was among the four people pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Orange County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identities of the victims:

  • Arely Robles, 19

  • Emanuel Gonzalez Martinez, 18 (driver)

  • Natalia Vidal Zarate, 17

  • Jacqueline Torres Zarate, 16

A fifth teenager, who attends Carr Intermediate School, is currently on life support with no signs of brain activity as of Tuesday, according to Officer Natalie Garcia.

Arely Robles’ father, Ignacio Robles, spoke with reporters and shared his heartbreak. “She was a good kid,” he said. “She didn’t talk much, didn’t do drugs, didn’t drink.” His other daughter, Arlene, also a passenger in the car, is being treated for serious injuries at a local hospital.

The crash remains under active investigation by Santa Ana Police. Speed is believed to be a primary factor.

💬 Our deepest condolences go out to the families affected by this tragedy.
