Santa Ana, CA - Motorcyclist Found Dead at Orange Crush Freeway Interchange

Santa Ana, CA (May 16, 2025) – A man wearing a yellow motorcycle helmet was found dead Friday morning at the Orange Crush interchange, where the Garden Grove (22), Santa Ana (5), and Orange (57) freeways converge, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist was discovered face down on the center divider of the westbound Garden Grove Freeway at approximately 7:05 a.m. The individual’s age has not been released.

A SigAlert was issued at 7:31 a.m., closing the HOV lane and lane 1 of the westbound Garden Grove Freeway. Later, the CHP shut down the transition from eastbound Garden Grove Freeway to northbound Orange (57) Freeway at about 7:50 a.m. during the search for the motorcycle.

Traffic delays ensued as authorities investigated and worked to clear the scene.
