Coachella, CA (Sept 03, 2025) – A semi-truck crash on Highway 86 near Avenue 50 in Coachella sent one person to the hospital on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The collision happened at about 7:36 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 86. Authorities confirmed that a semi-truck and a blue Chevrolet Silverado were involved.
Firefighters and medical crews responded quickly, extricating one person and transporting them to a hospital with moderate injuries. The Chevrolet sustained major damage and was towed from the scene.
Traffic was backed up to Dillon Road while emergency crews cleared the wreckage. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
