Sky Valley, CA (October 28, 2025) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday afternoon after colliding head-on with a trash truck on Dillon Road near Prospect Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Authorities say the crash occurred around 1:50 p.m., when the motorcycle and the trash truck collided in the roadway. The rider, identified as Ruben Delgado, a resident of Desert Hot Springs, was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact. Emergency responders rushed Delgado to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries at approximately 2:35 p.m.
The driver of the trash truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The exact cause of the collision remains under investigation by local authorities.
