San Jose, CA (October 08, 2025) – A solo vehicle crash with major injuries occurred early this morning on the southbound State Route 87 off-ramp to Almaden Expressway, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash happened around 1:36 a.m. when a single vehicle lost control, overturned, and came to rest approximately 10 feet off the roadway on its roof, sustaining heavy damage.
One occupant was trapped inside the vehicle, requiring emergency rescue. The fire department was called to the scene due to a reported fire. The off-ramp was blocked from southbound SR-87 to Almaden Expressway as emergency crews responded.
The crash investigation remains ongoing.
