Sonoma County – One Killed, Three Injured on Hwy 121

Sonoma County, CA (June 6, 2025) – A head-on crash on State Highway 121 near the Sonoma Raceway offramp killed one man and injured a mother and her two children, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The collision occurred Friday around 3:15 p.m. when a southbound Lexus RX-450h crossed double yellow lines into oncoming lanes and struck a northbound Toyota Venza carrying a 15-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl. The Lexus erupted in flames; firefighters extinguished the blaze and extricated all occupants.

The Lexus driver succumbed to his injuries about an hour later at a Napa County hospital. The mother and her children were transported with major injuries to local trauma centers.
