South Sacramento, CA - Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in High-Speed Crash on US-50

South Sacramento, CA (June 15, 2025) – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a high-speed crash Sunday afternoon on westbound U.S. Highway 50, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 12:08 p.m. when the motorcycle, traveling between 90 and 100 miles per hour, struck the rear of a silver Mercedes SUV. The impact ejected the rider from the bike. Emergency crews responded and transported the injured motorcyclist to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was uninjured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by CHP officers.
