Stockton, CA – Officer Injured When Driver Crashes into Patrol Vehicle

Stockton, CA (May 13, 2025) – A Stockton police officer was injured Monday night after a driver intentionally rammed a patrol vehicle, the Stockton Police Department reports.

Officers responding to a restraining order violation at the 1600 block of Bonaire Circle in the Valley Oak District say 45-year-old Thai Tran drove into their patrol car upon arrival. The officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Tran surrendered without further incident and was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and violating a restraining order.

The Traffic Safety Unit continues its investigation; anyone with information should contact Stockton PD.
