Stockton, CA - One Killed in Fiery Crash on I-5 at French Camp Rd

Stockton, CA (May 12, 2025) – One person was killed in a fiery crash early Monday morning in Stockton’s Seaport District, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 3:15 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 5 on-ramp at French Camp Road, where a vehicle veered off the road and slammed into a metal traffic signal pole. Authorities said the car then caught fire, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s unclear at this time whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. CHP officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
