Stockton, CA - Two Semi-Trucks Crash on I-5 Near Benjamin Holt Drive

Stockton, CA (April 23, 2025) – A collision involving two semi-trucks resulted in minor injuries late Wednesday night on northbound Interstate 5 near Benjamin Holt Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 10:13 p.m. and involved one commercial truck carrying approximately 60,000 pounds. One truck caught fire, and another experienced a locked trailer axle and potential air leak, prompting a hazmat response for oil leakage.

Emergency crews responded to treat the injured and manage the scene. Minor injuries were confirmed, and traffic was temporarily diverted through the #1 and #2 lanes. The impacted off-ramp was closed briefly while tow and cleanup operations were underway.

CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
