Tulare County, CA - One Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash at Avenue 232 and Road 36

Tulare County, CA (October 30, 2025) – One person was killed on Thursday evening following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Avenue 232 and Road 36, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash was reported around 6:53 p.m., involving a dark gray Toyota 4Runner and another vehicle that collided in the intersection. Reports from CHP indicated that one of the vehicles struck the Toyota while passing through, possibly in a hit-and-run (20001) scenario. One vehicle came to rest along the right shoulder, while the other crashed into an orchard nearby.

Emergency crews from Tulare County Fire and CHP responded to the scene. One person was confirmed dead, while another was transported to Kaweah Delta Health (KDH) for treatment. Investigators contacted the hospital to determine whether any additional individuals connected to the crash had arrived with head injuries, but no other walk-ins were reported.

Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the victim during this difficult time.

Fatal Car Accidents in California: Know Your Legal Rights

Fatal car accidents like this one can leave families facing overwhelming grief and unexpected financial burdens. Under California law, surviving family members may file a wrongful death claim to seek compensation for funeral expenses, lost wages, medical costs, and emotional suffering when another driver’s negligence or recklessness is involved.

In potential hit-and-run crashes, identifying the responsible party is critical. A skilled California wrongful death attorney can work with CHP investigators, review accident reports, and pursue all available avenues for compensation, including through insurance claims and civil actions.

California law generally provides two years from the date of death to file a wrongful death lawsuit, but early action ensures vital evidence and witness testimony are preserved.
