Covelo, CA (September 08, 2025) – At least one person was injured in a two-car collision at the intersection of Charlie Hurt Highway and State Route 162, north of Ukiah, on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 11:39 a.m. and involved a Jeep and a Volkswagen. The Volkswagen was left blocking the intersection, while the Jeep remained drivable and did not require towing.
CHP officers confirmed that minor injuries were reported at the scene. The agency’s traffic collision unit responded to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
The collision caused temporary traffic delays in the area until both vehicles were cleared and the roadway reopened.
