Salinas, CA (September 11, 2025) – Two people were killed Thursday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 183, just south of Cooper Road outside Salinas, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to CHP, the crash occurred around 4:47 p.m. A red sedan waiting to make a left turn was rear-ended by an SUV, which pushed it into the path of an oncoming northbound semi-truck. The semi-truck collided with the red sedan, causing fatal injuries to the two occupants.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released. CHP continues to investigate the circumstances of the deadly collision.
