Delano, CA (October 16, 2025) – Two people were killed and another was injured in a rollover crash early Thursday morning on Woollomes Avenue, west of Wallace Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The accident occurred just before 12:28 a.m. when a 21-year-old man driving a black 2017 Acura ILX eastbound on Woollomes Avenue drifted off the north side of the roadway. The vehicle struck multiple metal poles and a wooden power pole on the shoulder before overturning.
Authorities said the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old male passenger from Delano also died at the scene, while a 19-year-old female passenger was taken to Kern Medical for treatment of her injuries.
Both directions of Woollomes Avenue were closed for nearly three hours as investigators examined and cleared the scene. The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
