Fatal Car Accidents in California: Know Your Legal Rights
Fatal car accidents, like the one on I-780, can leave families devastated. California law allows surviving family members to pursue wrongful death claims to recover compensation for funeral expenses, lost income, medical bills, and emotional pain caused by the death of a loved one.
In crashes like this, it’s essential to consult an experienced California wrongful death attorney, especially if the crash involves negligence, improper road conditions, or vehicle defects.
California law gives families two years from the date of the accident to file a wrongful death lawsuit, though acting quickly ensures important evidence is preserved, including CHP reports, witness statements, and traffic camera footage.
