Vallejo, CA (May 23, 2025) – A 37-year-old Sacramento woman was killed after being struck by a big-rig early Friday on eastbound Highway 37 near the Sacramento Street overcrossing, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The collision occurred around 3:18 a.m. when the victim was walking in the eastbound lane and was hit by a 2017 Peterbilt tractor-trailer. Emergency crews pronounced her dead at the scene.
