Walnut Creek, CA (April 29, 2025) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 680 near the Ygnacio Valley Road exit, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-680 and involved a white van and a Honda Accord.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene, and at least one individual was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not confirmed the vehicles’ direction of travel at the time of the collision, and no citations or arrests have been issued as of this report.
Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the damaged vehicles, causing minor disruptions during the evening commute.
