West Sacramento, CA (May 28, 2025) – One person was injured Wednesday when two passenger vehicles collided at 5th Street and South River Road, the California Highway Patrol reports.
The crash occurred around 3:13 p.m. Emergency crews from West Sac Fire and AMR arrived quickly, treating the injured person on scene before transporting the patient to a local hospital. Witnesses say both vehicles were heavily damaged.
CHP investigators are reviewing witness statements and any available surveillance footage to determine if driver error, distracted driving, or failure to yield played a role.
