West Sacramento, CA - Police Chase Ends in Crash on Yolo Causeway

West Sacramento, CA (April 21, 2025) – A police pursuit that began in Placer County ended in a crash early Monday on the Yolo Causeway, according to officials.

The chase started when Placer County deputies attempted to stop a vehicle, which later merged onto westbound Interstate 80 at Riverside. The California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit as it entered Yolo County.

The suspects crashed near Chiles Road, leading to their arrest. Two individuals were taken into custody at the scene.

Authorities cleared the area by 5 a.m. The cause of the chase has not been confirmed, and the incident remains under investigation.

We are thankful no serious injuries were reported and hope all involved remain safe.
