Willow Creek, CA – Five Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on SR-299 Near Mile Marker 36

Willow Creek, CA (July 14, 2025) – Five individuals, including children, were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 299 near mile marker 36, just east of Willow Creek, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At approximately 6:00 p.m., emergency responders from Humboldt County arrived at the scene, where a Caltrans vehicle was among those involved in the crash. Paramedics treated the injured individuals, and at least one occupant required extrication from one of the vehicles.

The conditions of the injured have not been fully disclosed, but the crash involved children among the five individuals hurt. SR-299 was temporarily shut down as responders cleared the wreckage and investigators worked the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by CHP.
