Amador, CA (April 20, 2024) – Amador Fire reports that a fatality and three injuries resulted from a multiple-vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 88 in Amador County on Friday evening.
The collision occurred along Highway 88 near Silver Drive. According to firefighters, one individual was airlifted to the hospital, whereas two others were transported to a local medical facility by ground ambulances. According to the CHP Amador, a Chevrolet TrailBlazer was traveling east, and a Ford Explorer was traveling west at the time of the collision. The TrailBlazer entered oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the Explorer. The accident is still the subject of an investigation, and the events leading up to the collision remain unknown. Any witnesses were asked to contact the CHP.
