Residential Fires in California

Generally, a fire that destroys your home, place of business, or other property is emotionally, physiologically, and financially taxing. Serious injuries, property losses, and even fatalities are frequently the consequence of fires. A family residence may occasionally be destroyed due to extensive fire damage. The initial step in the process of reconstructing after a fire has damaged your home or business is to file a claim with your insurance company to ensure that your losses are covered. However, what happens if your insurance company refuses to reimburse you for replacing your home and possessions or if a negligent property manager or owner is accountable for your injuries?

According to state law, negligence in California is defined as the failure to maintain property in a reasonably secure condition by any individual who owns, rents, occupies, or administers the property. For example, California’s premises liability regulations mandate that businesses implement reasonable measures to identify hazardous conditions and rectify, replace, or adequately notify visitors of them.
