Fatal DUI Accidents in California
Across the United States, driving while intoxicated is a factor in thousands of car accident fatalities yearly. In actuality, these crashes claim the lives of at least thirty people per day, for a total of about 11,000 avoidable fatalities annually from instances involving drunk driving. Everyone around is put at risk when someone drives while intoxicated or has reduced reaction times.
Intoxicated drivers who are apprehended and taken into custody often face criminal accusations. Criminal processes are in place to punish drunk drivers for their reckless actions and safeguard the public from more damage. An intoxicated motorist may still be charged with a crime for DUI, even if there is no collision or injuries.
However, victims and their families suffer in these accidents far too often despite these deterrents. Those who have experienced the devastation that may result from drunk driving accidents are well aware of this. Even worse, fatalities and serious injuries are often the outcome of these incidents. You need an expert lawyer’s assistance if an inebriated motorist causes an accident.
