Sacramento County, CA - 7 Hospitalized, 1 Airlifted After Two-Vehicle Crash Near Ione and Claypit Roads

Sacramento County, CA (September 27, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash in Sacramento County Saturday morning sent seven people to the hospital, with one person airlifted due to severe injuries, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

The crash was reported just after 10:00 a.m. near Ione and Claypit Roads. Fire crews arriving on scene found both vehicles with significant front-end damage.

All seven injured individuals were treated at the scene before being transported to the hospital, while the person with severe injuries required air ambulance transport. The condition of the remaining patients has not been released.

Ione Road remains closed as the California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigates the cause of the crash.
