Fresno, CA (September 13, 2025) – Fresno authorities responded to a single-vehicle collision on E American Avenue near S Golden State Boulevard earlier today. The incident, reported to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), involved a silver sedan that veered off the roadway and came to rest in a nearby grape field.
According to CHP logs, the crash occurred after a tire fell off the vehicle, causing the driver to lose control. Airbags deployed, and the driver sustained minor injuries. Emergency medical services (EMS) were dispatched to the scene to evaluate and treat the injured party.
The vehicle was unable to be towed immediately due to the field location, prompting CHP to coordinate further recovery efforts. Traffic in the area was briefly affected while responders secured the scene, but lanes have since reopened.
