Fresno County, CA – 42-Year-Old Visalia Man Killed in SR-180 Motorcycle Crash

Fresno County, CA (June 8, 2025) – A 42-year-old Visalia man was killed Saturday evening when his motorcycle left the roadway on State Route 180 near Hume Road and struck the mountainside, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The crash occurred around 5:10 p.m. as the rider failed to navigate a slight left curve approximately 2.5 miles east of Hume Road in the Sequoia National Forest. Despite wearing a helmet, the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP investigators say drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors. They’re examining road conditions, mechanical issues, weather, and roadway design to determine what led to the collision.

We extend our deepest condolences to the victim’s family and friends.
