Coachella, CA (October 11, 2025) – A man died on Saturday evening in a fatal off-road vehicle crash near Vander Veer Road and Coachella Canal Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. when an off-road vehicle overturned and ended up in a ditch in the North Shore area, just north of Rancho Dos Palmas.
Emergency responders arrived promptly to the scene, where the male victim was found with severe injuries, including a head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name or age.
The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including factors that may have contributed to the vehicle overturning. Details about any other occupants or witnesses have not been disclosed.
Motorists traveling in the area are urged to exercise caution, as emergency response and investigation activities are ongoing.
