North Highlands, CA (July 09, 2025) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run collision Wednesday morning at a busy intersection in North Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 10:35 a.m., CHP responded to a crash at Watt Avenue and Elkhorn Boulevard. Officers said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.
Emergency medical services transported the injured pedestrian to a nearby hospital. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.
CHP officers began an investigation at the scene and are searching for the hit-and-run driver. No suspect vehicle description has been released at this time.
The intersection was impacted during the response as paramedics and officers worked to assist the victim. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with potential witnesses.
