Oakland, CA – Eric Pugaczewski, Aged 55, Killed in Collision at 5th Ave & E 10th St, Second Rider Flees

Oakland, CA (July 09, 2025) – 55-year-old Eric Pugaczewski was killed in a motorcycle collision Wednesday morning in Oakland, according to the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau.

At approximately 9:08 a.m., Pugaczewski and another individual were riding separate motorcycles southbound on 5th Avenue when they collided with an SUV traveling eastbound on East 10th Street. The impact caused Pugaczewski to be ejected from his motorcycle, resulting in fatal injuries. Despite efforts from emergency responders, Pugaczewski was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second motorcyclist involved in the crash fled the area on foot and has not been located. Authorities are actively searching for the individual and are requesting assistance from the public to identify him.
