Stockton, California (July 30, 2026) – A man died Thursday morning after he was struck by a vehicle that did not stay at the scene, the Stockton Police Department said. Officers responded to East Martin Luther King Boulevard and South B Street around 7 a.m. for a report of a person down on the side of the road.
Officers found the man on the ground, unresponsive. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. Police said the investigation is still in its early stages, but it is believed that a passing vehicle struck the man and left without stopping. His identity has not been released.
