Walnut Creek, CA – Man Killed in Fiery Crash on Ygnacio Valley Road

Walnut Creek, CA (June 29, 2025) – A man died in a fiery crash early Sunday morning when his car collided with a tree on Ygnacio Valley Road, according to the Walnut Creek Police Department.

The crash occurred just before 2:15 a.m. in a parking lot at 675 Ygnacio Valley Road, near the Walnut Creek BART station. Officers arrived within a minute of receiving the call and found the car engulfed in flames, resting against a tree.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and found the driver inside, dead from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle. Authorities have withheld the man’s name pending notification of next of kin.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
