West Sacramento, CA - One Seriously Injured in DUI Crash on I-80

West Sacramento, CA (May 27, 2025) – One person was seriously injured when a suspected DUI driver struck another vehicle on westbound Interstate 80 near Reed Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The collision occurred around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Emergency crews treated the injured individual at the scene before transporting the person to a local trauma center.

The other driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Two lanes of I-80 remained closed during cleanup and investigation.
