Tustin, CA (August 09, 2025) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman tragically died Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on the southbound 5 Freeway near the Tustin Ranch Road off-ramp.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on August 9 when the woman exited her vehicle on the freeway and was hit by at least one vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Due to the investigation and cleanup, all southbound lanes were shut down for over two hours, causing significant traffic delays.
