Carmichael, CA (August 13, 2025) – A woman in her 50s was tragically killed Wednesday night after being struck by an SUV on Fair Oaks Boulevard near Landis Avenue in Carmichael, Sacramento County. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver, a man in his 20s, was approaching the intersection in the two-lane section of the road when he hit the woman, who was pushing a wheelchair. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision. The driver remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation.
