Rancho Cordova, CA (June 7, 2024) – According to Sacramento Metro Fire and California Highway Patrol troopers, at least one person was seriously hurt on Thursday afternoon in Rancho Cordova after their van was struck by a SacRT light rail train.
Officials said the crash happened before 2:45 p.m. near the intersection of Folsom Boulevard and Marketplace Lane. An ambulance transported the vehicle’s driver to the hospital, where they now remain in serious but stable condition, officials said. California Highway Patrol and Rancho Cordova Police reported to the scene to investigate the incident.
