Sacramento, CA (June 15, 2024) – According to the latest information provided by California Highway Patrol troopers, a minivan driver was arrested for a DUI after crashing into the back of a Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) bus in the Arden-Arcade area on Wednesday night.

Just after 9:00 p.m., the CHP said that a SacRT bus was at a bus stop at Wyda Way and Howe Avenue when a minivan collided with the back left corner of the bus. The bus driver had two passengers onboard, and three people were in the minivan, though the total number of injured victims is still unknown. The driver was arrested at the scene, and roads in the area were closed but have since reopened. However, an investigation is still ongoing.

Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their complete recovery.
