Sacramento, CA (June 5, 2024) – According to the latest information provided by California Highway Patrol troopers, at least two people sustained injuries after a vehicle carrying rat poison crashed into a bus Tuesday morning in south Sacramento.
Emergency medical services were dispatched around 8:30 a.m. to Power Inn Road and 38th Avenue. A hazmat crew was also dispatched because the vehicle was leaking rat poison, the Sacramento Fire Department said. What caused the collision was not clear, though at least one of the victims involved in the accident was transported to an area hospital. EMTs did not specify how many people were involved or hurt in the crash, however. Members of the Sacramento Police Department’s investigation team were also called to the site and are handling the ongoing inquiry, aided by CHP troopers.
