Stockton, CA (May 26, 2024) – According to local authorities who responded to the scene, a reported traffic crash happened in Stockton on Highway 99 at Cherokee Road heading south, resulting in major backups and victim injuries on Friday evening, May 24.
At about 5:15 p.m., crews were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision. At least one lane was blocked by the crash, per the California Highway Patrol’s online records. EMTs were also dispatched and transported a handful of people to an area hospital. CHP reports that neither alcohol nor narcotics are suspected to have contributed to the collision, though the accident remains under active investigation.
