Tuolumne County, CA (June 4, 2024) – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol stated that a woman was killed and two men injured in a Wednesday afternoon car crash in Tuolumne County.
The crash happened before 1:00 p.m. on Highway 120, west of Smith Station Road. A 73-year-old Texas man driving a sedan westbound for some unknown reason drifted lanes into oncoming traffic, CHP said. His car crashed head-on with an eastbound sedan driven by a 25-year-old Truckee man. A 73-year-old female passenger in one of the cars died at the scene. Two other victims sustained major injuries and were taken to the hospital, officials said. However, no further details were reported. Investigators urged anybody with information about the fatal collision to contact the CHP.
