Motor Vehicle Collisions in California

All too often, catastrophic and life-altering car accidents occur on the Golden State’s roadways. Because vehicles are so commonplace in our lives, drivers sometimes overlook how hazardous they are and the possibility of serious or even fatal auto accidents taking place at any time. As a result, motorists may speed, operate a vehicle when intoxicated, drive while distracted, or otherwise drive their car carelessly and recklessly.

Millions of individuals suffer injuries in car accidents on American highways each year. Accidents claim the lives of tens of thousands of drivers and passengers. The Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) of the US Department of Transportation reports that there were 33,654 fatal car collisions in one recent year alone, which resulted in 36,560 deaths.
