Stockton, CA (October 22, 2024) – A pedestrian died after a collision near Interstate 5 in Stockton, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP said the crash happened Monday around 12:20 a.m. on the freeway approaching Charter Way. A vehicle was traveling northbound when, for reasons not yet known, they hit the pedestrian along I-5. CHP said the pedestrian died at the scene, but details on the age and gender of the victim were not released. Officers have not released details about the driver or pedestrian involved in the meantime, though anyone with information regarding the collision was asked to call local officials as the officers’ inquiry proceeded.
