Perris, CA – Authorities are actively investigating a tragic collision between two watercraft on Lake Perris that resulted in a fatality. The incident took place just before 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, as reported by the Press-Enterprise.
Upon their arrival, officials discovered the watercraft was unoccupied. A nearby boater had already come to the aid of the individuals involved, rescuing them from the water and administering CPR. Park rangers took over the situation and transported a 24-year-old woman from Highland to the shore, where she was sadly pronounced dead. Her name has not yet been disclosed.
Maggie Haberman, a spokesperson for the Riverside County Fire Department, indicated that the other individual involved in this unfortunate incident chose to decline medical treatment. Details regarding the watercraft involved in the collision remain under wraps, as authorities have not released descriptions at this time.
