[12-05-2024] – 1 Killed in Watercraft Collision on Lake Perris

Perris, CA – Authorities are actively investigating a tragic collision between two watercraft on Lake Perris that resulted in a fatality. The incident took place just before 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, as reported by the Press-Enterprise.

Upon their arrival, officials discovered the watercraft was unoccupied. A nearby boater had already come to the aid of the individuals involved, rescuing them from the water and administering CPR. Park rangers took over the situation and transported a 24-year-old woman from Highland to the shore, where she was sadly pronounced dead. Her name has not yet been disclosed.

Maggie Haberman, a spokesperson for the Riverside County Fire Department, indicated that the other individual involved in this unfortunate incident chose to decline medical treatment.
